OMAHA, Neb., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Data Transmission Network
Corporation (DTN) (Nasdaq: DTLN) announced today the formation of a
partnership with Atlantic Financial, an online brokerage firm in
Boston, to bring DTN's Internet financial information service,
DTN.IQ, to Atlantic Financial's customers. The partnership allows
individuals with an online brokerage account with Atlantic Financial
to receive dynamically updated quotes, news, charts and more from
DTN.IQ.
DTN.IQ was released in June of 1998 and has quickly become one of
DTN's most successful product launches. Priced significantly lower
than comparable services and taking advantage of the Internet's
power, DTN.IQ provides real- time streaming quotes, full text news,
price and event alerts and charting capabilities. The service allows
investors the same functionality professionals have had for years
using more expensive, dedicated financial terminals.
"These kinds of relationships are the wave of the future," says Eric
Stokes, Vice President DTN Financial Services. "By providing our
services at reduced prices to Atlantic Financial customers, we
create a real value for them and we gain exposure to an elite group
of active investors."
Bruce Fenton, President Atlantic Financial said, "Our goal is to
provide state-of-the-art services to our clients. It so happens that
we can do this with DTN.IQ and at a price unmatched anywhere else
today."
