A 401k Rollover is a process that allows for a direct transfer of assets to be made between retirement plans. Examples of retirement plans that might be involved in a 401k Rollover include: 401k plans, IRAs, and TSAs (Tax Sheltered Annuity).
A surviving spouse may use a 401k Rollover to transfer assets from a deceased spouse's account.
Please Note: Rollovers from a Roth 401k may only be made to a Roth IRA.
